In The Recombination Hypothesis, Sheldon declares that Zachary Quinto can live long and suck it. But then, in The Love Spell Potential, he sees Zachary Quinto a weird, wonderful, unrepeatable event. What could have possibly changed his mind? Possibly a certain neurobiologist and a Valentine’s Day spent eating a pizza and watching “one of his beloved Star War Trek things”…
You know, I’ve always wanted to write the most awkward Shamy sex ever. And my desire to write it so bad is going to finally make me do the freaking story that I had in my mind for the last few weeks. Anyway, I’m just rambling. Feel free to ignore me. :)

The Homeostatic Adjustment has updated. Listen to this while reading that. End result- lying on the floor sobbing grossly with feels.
So, yeah, I was minding my own business and wondering what’s the problem with the servers of my fansites when a new chapter of Vegas Interpretation showed up.
I was already wondering on this one part of the story when the ending came up.
“Hey, Sheldon left his notebook here. You wanna get kinky and find out what turns Sheldon on?” Penny asked Leonard in a seductive voice.
“That’s the last thing I want to know. Let’s just go to bed. We have an early morning ahead of us,” Leonard said as he made the bed.
“I want to know,” Penny said as she flipped through the pages.
“It’s your funeral.”
She passed question eight, question nine, and there it was –the answer to question ten.
“Oh, my god,” Penny whispered to herself.
“What is it?” Leonard had to know, too.
Penny held up the notebook.
GO READ IT I DON’T WANT TO SPOIL IT!
I CHOKED ON A TOMATO AND ALMOST FLIPPED MY LAPTOP

Sheldon & Amy Fanfictions: The Best Of
subita morte exstingui, by Coins Compressed
Summary: Sheldon is dying. In the realms of fiction, Amy finds death romantic, but in reality it’s a different story.
Status: Complete - One shot - 3378 words
Rating: M
Why you need to read this fic: Because it’s painful and will leave you dead on the floor, but in a good, beautifully written way. It’s really hard to write about deathly illnesses without versing into pathos and big clichés, but this completely in character one-shot manages to stay true to Sheldon and Amy and to treat Sheldon’s fate tastefully. A must read.
Shit. I’m reading it again, and I’m sobbing again.
Sheldon & Amy Fanfictions: The Best Of
The Gamete Indeterminacy + The Connubial Catalyst, by xmarisolx
Summary: (1) After being away for two years, Amy is in town to take care of some business. Meanwhile, one theoretical physicist has a decision to make that will affect his career… and entire life. (2) Sheldon and Amy wrestle with the increasing demands of modern life and family, but an opportunity comes along that may finally make their dreams come true. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang face major life changes as well.
Status: Both Complete - 74,446 words + 186,112 words
Rating: M
Why you need to read these fics: I can’t tell much about The Connubial Catalyst for I would be spoiling a lot of The Gamete Indeterminacy, but just know that the second part is even better than the first. Out of all the Shamy writers out there, Marisol is perhaps the best one. She portrays their relationship exactly the way it should be: with little, delicate, intimate strokes that give away the bigger picture without plunging you in a pool of overwhelming, fake feelings. Sheldon and Amy are completely themselves, and their love isn’t flaunted in our faces like it often is in stories with huge dramatic storylines. And this is nothing short of genius, because these fics do contain their fair share of huge dramatic storylines. But they’re dealt with the way they should be, and you’ll finish these fics with a satisfying taste of perfection in your heart.
Not to do any overstepping because this is just so lovely, but if you all really are going to begin with this Shamyverse of Marisol, you could also start with The Coitus Consideration, where it all started. :)
I had considered writing a continuation of The Love Spell Potential…but now that I look, quite a few people have already done so…and a little differently to how I would have.
To write or not to write…that is the question…
THE MORE THE MERRIER!
Shamy AU (taking off from longlivetheshamy): On the first day of Private Hofstadter’s duties after taking the blame from the newspaper mishap, he was surprised to see Private Cooper in the mess hall and was already half a bucket done with peeling the potatoes. Sheldon insisted that he wanted to help him since it was originally his fault that Leonard got in trouble.
“Although, I leave the latrine duty up to you.”
“Hey, I thought you wanted to pay me back?”
“I did, but I didn’t mention anything about taking care of other people’s businesses.”
“Fine.”
Grumbling, the smaller man started working on the rest of the unpeeled vegetable. Every piece or so, Sheldon would comment on his work and point out how there’s still some eyes left on poor Hofstadter’s potatoes.
The two men worked together in companionable silence until only a sack was left for them to do.
“Hey Cooper, how is she like?”
“How is who like?”
“Your gal back home. Well not exactly back at home since based from that paper you ripped from the captain’s stack, she’s now on tour all over the country.”
“Oh, you mean my Amy?”
“Yeah. How is she like? You know, besides what the article said.”
Sheldon paused, a smile playing on his lips. He gingerly placed the half-peeled potato on top of the finished ones then wiped his hands with a dishcloth before taking out his wallet. He took out a folded piece of paper and showed it to his new buddy. It was a picture of Amy that she gave him before he left.
“Wow she’s very lovely, Cooper. You’re one lucky guy.”
“I know.” He finally let himself go and smiled before continuing, “Never will I meet another woman who’s as smart and as beautiful as her. She’s the very reason why I need to get through this war.”
